Academic profile
I am Jingying Wang, a researcher with training in psychology and an interdisciplinary research trajectory centered on neuropsychiatric disorders.
I received my Ph.D. from the Institute of Psychology, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2017. where my work began with modeling openly observable social network behavior, then expanded into identifying affective disorders from visible behavioral signals such as voice and gait.
I have accumulated extensive postdoctoral research experience focusing on neuropsychiatric disorders over five and a half years, with additional work involving wearable devices, EEG, brain stimulation, and neuroimaging technologies.
During the subsequent transition period, I remained actively engaged in academic activities, including publishing manuscripts, peer reviewing, and contributing to ongoing research.

About
Biography
I am a researcher with training in psychology and an interdisciplinary research trajectory centered on neuropsychiatric disorders.
My scientific path began with the study of publicly observable behavior in social networks. The modeling experience I developed there later became foundational for research on identifying mood disorders from visible behavioral signals, including voice and gait.
During my postdoctoral period, my work expanded to include:
- quantitative assessment of Parkinsonian symptoms using wearable and wireless sensors,
- the effects of noninvasive brain stimulation on brain function, and
- neuroimaging approaches to aging in Autism.
These experiences strengthened my methodological foundation for studying symptom expression and brain change together. More broadly, they prepared me to investigate how behavioral phenotypes, neural mechanisms, and disease progression interact across a range of neuropsychiatric conditions.
